Poker Chip Tricks

Whether or not you are a seasoned poker player, there is one sure way you can make a big impression on other folks around the poker table and that is if you know how to do poker chip tricks. To clarify that, it means being able to play literally with your poker chips and move them around and make them do really neat things.

There are a lot of folks out there that are easily impressed by all kinds of things and seeing someone do poker chip tricks at the table will elevate you in their eyes almost to the level of a mindreader. Being able to manipulate the chips and do it effortlessly can have everyone's attention at the table after a short period of time.

And a lot of these poker chip tricks are not that hard to learn... you just have to have the desire to learn to do the tricks, a couple of stacks of poker chips, and fingers that are itching to twiddle the chips and will move in a dextrous manner.

You can train your fingers to become dextrous, if you think that is going to be a problem for you, and in a very short time you can start manipulating the chips in front of you and you can appear really cool to those sitting around the table.

Just remember that once you learn to do a variety of poker chip tricks, don't get carried away with your dexterity and coolness. You could be sitting at a table with people who do not appreciate what you're doing because they think you are showing off; and then you can lose your track of the game because you are so tuned in to what you are doing with the chips.

For most players at a poker table, the game is very serious and there is real money on the line, so there are some players who do not want someone diddling with their chips on the side, distracting the other players, and not knowing when it is his turn. People get antsy and angry when you are not on the same wavelength as the other players and have to be continually reminded that it is your turn.

So just keep in mind that a little of this performing of poker chip tricks will go a long way with most players, and when in a real game, keep your wits about you and pay attention to the play of the game so the other players do not have to remind you continuously that it is your turn to play.

 

Something else to keep in mind when you are doing poker chip tricks is that you lay yourself wide open for scrutiny by the other players at the table. Some players think that maybe this may be a poker tell and try to read into it what kind of hand you have, or find a crack in your poker chip tricks performance and find a weak spot. So do all things in moderation, and that applies to poker chip tricks being performed during a poker game. Impress those that are receptive, and be respectful of the personal zones of others and let them play in peace.
